With a decade of experience and moderate ADHD, Skinny Friedman's trademark is his ability to span genres in both his sets and his production. After cutting his teeth in the St. Louis hip-hop scene in college, Skinny returned east to start the anything-goes Philadelphyinz party in Philadelphia with DJ Apt One. The duo built their name mixing rap hits, house classics and weird rare disco into something coherent. Philadelphyinz is in its sixth year, and the duo also run a monthly at Philly's Silk City Diner. In New York, Skinny and Sammy Bananas (Fools Gold/Telephoned) do the bi-monthly Players Club party at Pianos, which the Village Voice named "best off-night party."

Skinny also travels frequently, picking up gigs in over 20 cities across the country and making his European debut in Norway in August. He has shared stages with Tittsworth, Das Racist, Wale, The Dirty Projectors, Juan Maclean, Cosmo Baker, Fat Tony, Win/Win and recent Maybach Music signee Stalley. He has also toured as rapper Izza Kizza’s DJ and put together mixes for Shade 45 Radio, Scion Radio, Discobelle and DJ Shadow’s Quanuum Projects label. His latest mix, "( . Y . )" was named MTV's "Mix of the Week."

As a producer, Skinny Friedman's ability to weave pop gems, dubstep wobbles and ignorant rap with the quickly-growing moombahton genre has earned him acclaim. His tracks have seen support from Diplo, Sinden, Starkey, Nick Catchdubs, Dave Nada, N.A.S.A., DJ Ayres and Dillon Francis. He is also a co-founder and A&R for Young Robots Records.
